Glen grew up and attended public and high school in Saskatoon and was involved in cadets. After his schooling he went on a Naval cruise with the cadets which took him to New Zealand and back to Canada. He then started work as an electrician’s apprentice but eventually took schooling to become an Air Traffic Controller in 1955.

In 1963 they were transferred to Goose Bay, Labrador and in 1965 moved back to Winnipeg where he continued his career in air traffic. In his final few years before retirement Glen left the Tower and was responsible for refurbishing control towers at Thunder Bay Airport and other cities. Retiring at age 55, Glen and Vereen spent many happy years at their cottage on Off Lake, ON.

Glen loved flying, music and was very active and supportive of his church dedicating a grand piano, stained glass window, ran the av and was treasurer. With his wonderful singing voice Glen was a member of the church choir and the Winnipeg Philharmonic.
