Roland was my earliest childhood friend that I remember. We both were students of ecole precieux sang, I was in the second grade and Roland in the third grade. He Lived on rue Goulet and I lived on rue Marion when they were both still bidirectional streets. We shared a story that we never repeated but I will credit Roland with saving our lives. I don’t wish to tell the story here but I will say Roland was very brave and resourceful for an eight year old and I will never forget him. I had not kept up with him for 50-60 years after we went different ways in life but I remember his sisters and his parents and they were always welcoming to me. I wish to offer my sincere condolences to his family. RIP old friend. - Posted by: Michel Douchant (Old acquaintance) on: Nov 23, 2025
