Kevin Russell McCreedy, 69, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born in Winnipeg to Shirley (nee Thordarson) and Russell McCreedy, Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Studies from the University of Winnipeg in 1978. He later lived in Calgary, Alberta, where he met his former wife, Bonnie McCreedy (nee Bubbs), and together they raised their daughter, Heather McCreedy.
Kevin loved music, the Rocky Mountains, road trips, cheering on his favourite teams, and the camaraderie of curling with friends. Some of his fondest memories were shared with his daughter, including attending her first baseball game and watching the Blue Jays in the World Series together in his final days.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Erlen; her mother, Bonnie McCreedy; his sisters, Janis Chant (Michael) and Norma-Jean McCreedy; and his nieces and nephews, Brad McCreedy, Caitlin Spauls, Bronwen Capobianco, and Declan Spauls.
A funeral service will be held on November 29, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg. Family and friends are welcome.
