She also leaves to mourn her dear siblings, brother Hubert Blanchette and her devoted sister, Lucille Blanchette. Raye invested all of her time and devotion to her family always encouraging and supporting her children and grandchildren in their endeavours.

Raymonde was born in Ste. Anne-des-Chenes and moved with her family to Saint Boniface in 1929 where her early education was obtained at Academie St. Joseph. After completing Grade 10, she left school to work and support the war effort. She married Ross in 1947 and had 3 children. In the late 1950's she decided to return to school and obtained her high school diploma, spending several years of part time study in a classroom with teenagers half her age. She finished her career working as a consultant in the Department of Education. During these work years, she also took part time courses at College Saint Boniface where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education. She will always be remembered as a strong role model of persistence and achievement.

The family would like to thank the exceptional caregivers at Action Marguerite (St. Vital) for their excellent care and compassion provided over the last 2 and half years. Her message to all her family and friends is "To the many who have enriched my life, THANK YOU, and a fond farewell".

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
