I met Alan in 1966 at Fairford School where we started grade one together. That was a tough year but we somehow got through it. I never saw him again until grade six in Moosehorn School. He must have learned guitar along the way because in Ashern High School I remember him playing nothing but BTO songs at lunch hour! I too was a huge BTO fan at the time and so enjoyed hearing him getting better with every passing year. Alan was a stand up guy plain and simple. Unfortunately I never saw him again after graduation. Life has a way of getting away on you. My sincere condolences to Alan’s family. I know he is in a better place. - Posted by: Rod West (School friend) on: Nov 30, 2025
