It is with deep sadness that the family of Gerry Douglas Saseniuk announces his passing on November 30, 2025 at Dinsdale Personal Care Home in Brandon, Manitoba. Gerry was born on August 10, 1947 in Swan River, Manitoba and over the years made his home in Brandon, where he built lasting friendships and cherished memories.
Gerry is survived by his son Douglas Mark Saseniuk, and his wife Leanne Saseniuk and their daughters Grace and Maddy. He is also survived by his daughter Lynn Kristina Nero and her husband Christopher Nero, as well as his granddaughter Shae-Lynn Arnold, who was truly the apple of his eye. He remained very close with Marion Saseniuk.
Family and friends will remember Gerry as a man of warmth, humour, and quiet strength. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren and the many friends who cherished his companionship.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dinsdale Personal Care Home for their compassionate care during Gerry’s final days, and the staff at BRHC 5th floor on his recent hospital stay. Also a thank you to staff at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home for all their help.
There will be a graveside service held during the summer.
