In Loving Memory of
Betty Lynn Riley - born and raised in Birds Hill, East St. Paul - was one of a kind. She laughed loud, sang often, crafted endlessly, and made life just a little brighter (and funnier) for everyone around her.
Betty had a deep love for all the good things in life - family, friends, lake days, gardens, hummingbirds, and anything that sparkled or hummed. If a hummingbird was near, it was probably there to visit her. She was happiest by the water, surrounded by laughter, maybe a cold drink, and the people she loved most.
She was known to appreciate nature in her own way - and would do anything if it meant not missing a good story or a sunset.
Betty is survived by her husband Carman Riley; her children Stacey and family, Jacqueline and family, Clint and family, and Leeann and family; her brothers, Jim Langton and family and Glen Langton and family; along with her extended relatives and many friends - all of whom adored her fiery spirit and quick wit.
She leaves behind a world that's a little less sparkly without her - but her laughter, her love of pretty trinkets, and her wild, joyful heart will forever live on in the people who loved her most.
May the hummingbirds keep her company, and may the lake always shimmer a little brighter for Betty.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
