Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • We were fortunate to be neighbours with the Sigurdson’s growing up on Westdale Place. My lasting memory of Cathy was a newsletter she started while she was in Junior High. It recapped all the comings and goings of the neighbours. Cathy would canvas the neighbours to get stories on what was new. It might have been the first issue where she had a feature interview with her Mom. Condolences to Bill, Joanne and Mr. Sigurdson and all her friends and family. - Posted by: Murray Sisler (Former neighbour) on: Dec 23, 2025

  • Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother, wife and daughter. I first met Kathy at Norberry School. We went to elementary together. We parted ways after grade 6 when I moved and we met again when our sons were at Saint Paul’s high school together. We worked on many fundraisers, she was a fun, caring and intelligent person and will be missed. Rest in the arms of Jesus my friend! - Posted by: Maria Masi (Friend) on: Dec 22, 2025

  • So sorry to hear of Cathy's passing. She fought a tough battle and was truly a warrior. I met Cathy at St Paul's high school and worked with her for many years in the Sports Shop. She was such a lovely person will be missed by many. Hoping the family finds comfort in all the wonderful memories they have. - Posted by: Lori Chimuk (Friend) on: Dec 17, 2025

  • Cathy my condolences to your family for their loss of this Warrior. I can’t remember a time when you were not fighting the good fight. Cancer research for most but also inclusion and support of all marginalized people. May you RIP - Posted by: Sandy McLennan (Friend) on: Dec 06, 2025
