It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Charles Davis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on December 3, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on July 6, 1941, Arthur lived a life grounded in loyalty, hard work, and unwavering love for his family and dear friends. Arthur is lovingly remembered by his wife Stella, his son Darrell (Darlene), and his daughter Shannon (Kevin). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Doug (Sarah), Noah (Emmaus), Matthew (Bailey), Logan, and step-granddaughters Emily (Eric) and Erika. He also leaves behind his brother Bob (Ruth) and sister Janice, numerous nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
He devoted his entire adult career to Federated Co-op, retiring as a Transportation Supervisor. Through the decades, he formed lifelong friendships with coworkers who became more like family—relationships built on mutual respect, humour, and camaraderie that enriched his life immeasurably.
Arthur had a deep and natural love for music, a gift that shaped his life in countless ways. No matter the instrument, he could pick it up and play the notes by ear, filling every space with sound and joy. Music is what brought him to the love of his life—through that shared passion, he met Stella, whom he stood beside for over 60 years of marriage. At every family or friends' gathering, Art was the heart of the moment, entertaining with the voice we all adored. Now, he blesses the angels with that same beautiful voice and soulful spirit.
In recent years, after Art and Stella moved in with their daughter and son-in-law, Arthur formed an especially close bond with his grandson Logan, whose devotion and selflessness were a constant source of comfort. Logan put his career ambitions on hold and moved back home to become a steady, loving caregiver for his grandparents—something Arthur deeply cherished and appreciated.
Known for his steady presence and generous heart, Art was always the first to lend a helping hand or listening ear. He was the rock of our family—quietly dependable, endlessly patient, and full of kindness. Through his example, he taught all those around him the true meaning of support, compassion, and love.
Art lived an active and joyful life, especially when it came to sports. He and Stella shared many activities together, creating memories through curling, baseball, and in their later years dancing dinners with amazing friends. When his children were young, he coached his son's hockey team and daughters' baseball team, always cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm. His dedication as both a father and coach left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to be guided by him.
Arthur now reunites in heaven with his parents, Charles and Marie Davis, his younger brother Doug, extended family and many friends who have gone before him. While he will be deeply missed, his spirit, strength, music, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A grave-site memorial will be announced at a later date.
