Gretta Assaly (nee Brown) passed away on November 29, 2025, in Milwaukee, WI.
Gretta was born in Toronto, Canada on June 16, 1939, to parents, Gretta H. and Arthur B. Brown who predeceased her. She is also predeceased by her beloved husband, Edmund “Ed” Assaly. She is survived by her brother, Mark Brown and extended family including nephews, Aidan and Alistair, and niece, Teresa Schmautz and many beloved friends and colleagues.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 E. Capitol Drive, Shorewood, WI 53211. A service honoring and celebrating Gretta’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live streamed, and the link for the live stream available on www.feerickfuneralhome.com. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.
Over the years, Gretta shared her love of dance and theatre with countless students and audiences, throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.
