November 30, 2025

Clint James Acheson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 81.

He is survived by his wife, Louise (née Nowick); his children, Lani (Phil) Parker and Graeme (Lindsey) Acheson; his grandchildren, Ethan, Jensen, Kaylee, and Tyler; and his brother, Fred Acheson. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Blanche Acheson; his first wife, Angie (née Derkatch); and his sister-in-law, Eve Acheson.

Clint enjoyed a nearly 50-year career in the food industry, including roles with Swifts and Schneiders and operating his own M&M Meat Shops franchise. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he played football and hockey in his youth and was a devoted Winnipeg Blue Bombers season ticket holder for over 25 years. He loved fishing and spending time at family cabins in Lac du Bonnet and Lake Metigoshe, and cherished watching and coaching his grandchildren in their sports.

Family was at the heart of Clint's life. He enjoyed holiday gatherings, shared stories, and valued the connections he built with extended family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and devotion to those he loved.

Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, memorial donations may be made to KidsSport Manitoba or Harvest Manitoba.

  • Dear Mrs. Acheson, Lani and Graeme and families, I’m incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Mr Acheson. I know how much dad valued his friendship with Clint. From their childhood shenanigans to playing sports together to standing up for each other at your weddings, to getting together whenever we were all in the same cities. Dad was still receiving emails from Clint, even though he was no longer good at answering. My sincere condolences on behalf of my dad Ed. All my love, Kim Verrier.
