It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Janet Lynn Turney at the Victoria hospital on October 21, 2025. Her daughters thank the staff there for their patience with mom and exceptional care.
Mom leaves behind her two daughters, Shelley Moule, and Rhonda Riggs as well as her beloved granddaughter, Emma Jane Turney.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jim Gibson, and Bill Blair, as well as her only sister, Charlotte Steiben.
Mom was self-employed for most of her life, and involved in many charitable organizations, most notably sitting on the board for Habit for Humanity.
Mom had a great love for animals, especially cats, and owned many over her lifetime.
As per mom’s wishes, no service will be held.
Donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer Society.
