MARGARET MILLER

Marg passed away December 5, 2025. She is survived by her husband Ian of 63 vears; sons, Todd (Ruth), Scot (Manon); grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark), Mark (Claudia) and great-grandchildren, Leah and Reid.

Marg was born in 1938 in Cupar, Saskatchewan. After high school, she went to the University of Toronto on a bursary to study Dental Hygiene and worked many years in public health in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. After her husband was transferred to Winnipeg, she attended the University of Manitoba and worked at the school of Dental Hygiene becoming a professor. She was always grateful for the support she received from her family. She loved her guys and all the busy activities they were involved in. What fun times. The family lived in several communities in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba including Churchill. She volunteered with many organizations including and especially the Girl Guides and was a founding and life member of the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association of which she was very proud of. Marg suffered significant and debilitating pain for many years and is grateful to her family for their help and understanding.

As per her wishes, her body has been donated to the University of Manitoba department of Anatomy and Cell Science and there will be no funeral service.

  • Deepest sympathy to the family. You have lost a very special angel who touched the lives of many. It was always a joy when Marg and Ian visited my folks in Langruth and I miss those days still. Take good care, and know that Marg is now resting peacefully. Karen Single. - Posted by: karen single (friend/relative) on: Dec 22, 2025
