Calista Franzmann of Carman, MB passed away peacefully, with her sons by her side. Beloved Mum to Don (Katherine), Jamie (Ev), Terry (Sandy), Mona (Dave), and Charlene; cherished Grandma and Great-Grandma to a large, loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Herbert C. Franzmann, and sisters Iris Atkinson and Bunnie Muhly.
Calista was a devoted homemaker known for her cooking and strawberry jam; skilled knitter, crocheter, and sewer; she loved camping, square and round dancing with Herb; gardening, reading, puzzles, carpet bowling, shuffleboard and visiting with her many friends.
The family would like to thank the Meadowoods family for their outings, friendship and support and the staff at the Boyne Lodge for taking such good care of our Mum and Grandma over the past few months.
A funeral service will be held at Carman United Church, Friday, January 9, 2026, 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of choice.
