Lorraine Georgette Beaudry (née Savoie), age 70, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 27, 1955, Lorraine grew up in St. Boniface and St. Norbert, and spent most of her adult life in Lorette, Manitoba, before her illness led to her move to Action Marguerite in St. Vital.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Gérard and Marie Savoie, and her husband, Joe Beaudry. She leaves behind her devoted children: Louis (Jen), and their children Jack and Matthew; Jean-Luc (Erin), and their children Edith and Sylvia; and Jacques (Cheryl) and his children Dani and Jude, along with their mother Morgan.
She is also survived by her loving siblings Marguerite (Chris), Louise (predeceased by Putt), Robert, Monique (Henri), and Paul (Virginia), as well as her dear friend and partner, Gary Coleman. Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She had a vibrant personality and enjoyed reading, traveling, crossword puzzles, music, birds, and flowers. She adored her grandchildren and being with her friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will take place on February 3, 2026, at Desjardins Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Further details will be shared with family and friends.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Action Marguerite for their exceptional care, compassion, and support over the past four years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Action Marguerite Foundation.
