WILLIAM LYNN DONALD

William Lynn Donald, affectionately known as Bill, was born in Berens River, Manitoba, on August 26, 1932.

He passed away peacefully in Mission, British Columbia, on October 2, 2025, at the age of 93.

Bill was the eldest of seven siblings and built a life defined by service, and adventure.

He is remembered by his seven children - Catherine, Joan, Heather, Lorrie, Patricia, John and Jamie - as well as his three step children- Randy, (deceased Allan and Dawn) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At a young age, Bill enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he served for 11 years in the Signal Corps. He trained in Morse Code in Churchill, Northern Manitoba, a skill that reflected both his discipline and determination. In the late 1950s, he embraced one of his greatest passions – skydiving - an adventure that suited his bold and spirited nature.

After his military service, Bill pursued training as a journeyman lineman, a career that took him across British Columbia until his retirement.

His work ethic, resilience, and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Bill will be fondly remembered for his sharp sense of humour, love of a good party, and the countless friendships he formed throughout his life.

His laughter, stories, and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind a legacy of courage, generosity, and joy. May he rest in peace.
