On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Kildonan Nursing Home, Dorothy Furda aged 98, came to a peaceful end.
Dorothy is survived by her three children, Marian Magas (Jerry), David Furda (Elayne) and Christine Ansons (Alan); her five grandchildren, Donovan, Adam, Chad, Kelly and Erynn; and great-grandchild Liam.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Stanley and her parents, Lena and David Rawlings.
Dorothy enjoyed watching hockey and football. She enjoyed bowling and travelled with Dad to many matches in the USA. Curling was also a favorite.
We would like to thank the nursing home for looking after Mom.
At Mom’s request there will be no funeral service.

We enjoyed the rare occasions we were privileged to see Mrs Furda over a birthday dinner. Always friendly, genuine and a dear lady. I’m sure she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
