RICHARD EAMER
Richard Albert “Spot” Eamer passed away on January 19, 2026. Rick accepted Jesus as his Saviour, and received God’s promise of eternal life on September 20, 2025, so we are rejoicing at the thought of his soul in Heaven. Rick was born on August 31, 1953, in Brandon, Manitoba to Bud and Florence, and was the youngest son of three boys.
Rick is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn; brother Bob (Barbara); daughter Krista (Joe); grandchildren Carter, Cassidy, and Cooper; cousins, extended family, and many friends both old and new in Canada and the US.
Rick was a locksmith for 47 years, and enjoyed visiting with family, friends and neighbours, golfing, baseball, and fishing. Rick loved being a grandpa and treasured his visits with Krista, Joe, and his three grandchildren, and enjoyed getting together with our son-in-law’s family.
Rick was predeceased by his mother, father, and brother Ron. We are grateful for the love and support of Pastor Sam Souza and our Keystone Baptist Church family, and the many wonderful doctors (especially Dr. Cockerill), nurses (especially Lisa Kynoch and Charlotte Desmarais), and medical staff that cared for him.
Donations in Rick’s memory may be made to Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue E., Brandon MB, R7A 2B3, Phone 204-578-4227. Please specify the donation for the Critical Care/Emergency Department; for information go to https://www.brhcfoundation.ca and select the Donate button at the top of their page. If you are donating online, you will need to select “Critical Care”, then add Emergency Department in the comments.
