Germaine Gauthier, 93, of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, with family members at her side.
Born on November 13, 1932, in Winnipeg, Germaine was the child of Jules and Eva (Lanoie) Bonneau. She is survived by her sons, Louis and Gilles, grandchildren Rene, Rachelle, and Dean, and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Gaven, Greyson, Bella, Zoe and Kaden. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Henri Gauthier and sister Rita Hutton.
Throughout her life, Germaine was known for her dedication to her family and her tireless efforts on their behalf. She always enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and her many gambling trips with Louis.
There will be no service by request, and a private interment will be held in the Spring.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Boniface and Deer Lodge hospitals for their care and support during Germaine’s final days.
