Sadly, Ross passed away quietly and peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather.
He will be missed by his only son, James Ross, Gina, his two grandsons, Dominic, Christian, his brother Ronald and his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Henritta and Noel Filbey.
Ross was a kind and gentle man.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Close friends will be notified.

I'm so sorry for your loss. He was such a funny, kind and quick-witted person and he had a way of bringing light into the room without trying. He will always be remembered by his humor and his good heart and most of all for the love he had for his son. He was such a fun uncle to the kids. James please hold your memories close to your heart. My condolences to Gina and James. My father, Harry Campbell watched Ross and Ron grow up. My grandma and Hettie were great friends. Later my dad, Noel and eventually Ross worked together for many years at Peerless Carbon and Ribbon. I recall when I was at elementary school that Ross would sometimes to our house for lunch on a work day. Very warm memories of the kindnesses offered by the Filby family when I came home to visit with my own family.
