Mr.Posaluko was one of those teachers who have such a profound influence on your life that you never forget him. He was not my home room teacher, but he taught me English and coached the " Reach for the Top " team. I was the only female on that team, and was lucky that the three boys chosen knew all about sports; I knew nothing about sports but quite a bit about literature. The questions asked by the host Bill Guest at the CBC studio are all randomly chosen, but as many English questions were asked about various famous plays and books I was able to score most of the points for the Charleswood team. I was only at Charlewood Collegiate for grades ten and eleven but still maintain the friendships I established at that school. Alfred Posaluko put a great deal of energy and effort into his teaching career and will always be a shining light to me. Shelley G.Mitchell. Mr. Posaluko, as I knew him many years ago, was my Grade 10 Homeroom teacher at Charleswood Collegiate. I remember him proudly telling our class about the recent arrival of his baby daughter. RIP Mr. Posaluko! - Posted by: June Francis (Former student) on: Feb 14, 2026

I met Al at a support group meeting, over 30 years ago. He was always the animated talker. Little did I know that our paths would cross so many more times. It was either Diane's place, the dance floor, or the West End community center. My Condolences to Diane and Al's family. I can hear you talking up there Al. - Posted by: John Evan (friend and fellow dancer) on: Feb 14, 2026
