FAY RYKISS
It is with great sadness that the family of Fay Rykiss announce her passing on December 6, 2025.
She turned 98 years old on November 15 and was living a most peaceful and independent life at the Shaftesbury Assisted Living Residence until her passing. She was predeceased by her husband Ben, her parents Sam and Clara Fink, her brother Manny and sister-in-law Pearl Fink. She leaves behind her children Mark (Barb), Neil (Susan), Les (Darya) along with her grandchildren, Jared (Alle), Caleigh (James), Sarah (Ira) David (Olivia) Rececca (Jeff), Marissa, Matthew (Yaffa), Shaun (Amanda), Michaela, Jaron (Abi). Great-grandchildren Ryann, Alexa, Rose, Izzy, Max, Sloan.
Fay was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
A life well lived…she was a fabulous homemaker. She loved being with family and took great pleasure in hosting many family dinners.
Her meals and baking were legendary.
Fay loved life and would always be the last one to leave the party.
She loved her friends and almost until the end, took great pleasure in organizing Saturday lunches with her girlfriends.
Our family wishes to thank Dr Sheldon Permack and staff, the wonderful team at the Shaftesbury, the Home Care Manitoba team and the doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital who helped look after our mother.
