My condolences to the family. I worked in the Indigenous community with George when I first met him back in the 1980s. I always admired his quick thinking and wise advice when it came to solutions for our community he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He served our community with honour and dignity. - Posted by: Kathy Mallett (Friend) on: Feb 24, 2026

George was an exceptional and historic figure in indigenous history. He fought for civil and human rights his entire life. He was intelligent, articulate, charming, funny, and caring. I learned alot from our breakfasts together and he was always available to chat and give his wisdom to others. I'll miss George and his blue pants, his sharp wit and his compassion and empathy for all people, regardless of race or creed. Have a good journey my friend. To his family - condolences he was a truly legendary man. - Posted by: Adam (Friend) on: Feb 21, 2026
