OTTO ALBERT FIELMAN

July 28,1928 - February 17, 2026


Otto Fielman is survived by his wife Orlean and sisters-in-law Verna (Elmer) Pokrant, Eleanor (Irvin) Recksiedler, and brother-in-law Les (Sandra) Kletke, and sister-in-law Doreen Kletke, and many nephews and nieces in Canada and the US.

He was predeceased by his parents Ferdinand and Martha Fielman and his brother August and sister-in-law Giesala. He was also predeceased by two brothers in law Art and Adolf and sister-in-law Frieda.

Otto was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church in Rosenfeld.

He attended Rosenfeld Elementary and High Schools. Then farmed with his parents and took over the farm operation at Rosenfeld in 1961.

On April 26, 1968, he married Orlean Kletke who joined him on the farm a mile east of Rosenfeld. Otto was always active in church and community. He served as part time and full-time organist for St. John Lutheran Church for 20 years.

He served on the Board of Directors for Sun Valley Co-op for 18 years from 1964-1973 and again from 1982-1990.

He was a director of Manitoba Pool Elevators from 1972-1980 and served on the Provincial Farmlands Ownership Board from 1985-1988.

Otto was on the Rosenfeld Senior Citizen Home Board for 17 years.

While involved in many organizations, his love was farming even after retiring to Morden in 1999. At that time, he became a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed the activities at the Morden Friendship Center.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank or CancerCare Manitoba.

A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Morden. His final resting place is at the Rosenfeld Cemetery.
