COLLEEN RUTH ORCHARD

January 8, 1965 – February 19, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Colleen Orchard on February 19, 2026, due to a brain aneurysm.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her loving husband Bruce of 30 years, her two boys Austin and Liam, and her best friend Beaux. She was predeceased by her mom, Irene and Dad, Keith.

She was a devoted mother who loved her family and friends dearly. She was a very kind, generous and thoughtful person. She was a very dedicated and hard worker and took pride in doing things properly. Some of her favourite memories were time spent at the lake relaxing with a good cup of coffee. She will be terribly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society and Wildlife Haven.

  • My condolences go out to Bruce and her sons, Austin and Liam, and extended family. I grew up with Colleen. I worked my first job at Mister G's with her, we went to Grant Park High School together, spent a great amount of time at her Mother's house, and going out for countess cups of coffee throughout the years. I can't remember a time where she was not part of my life. She was kind, smart, tough, good friend, devoted wife and loving mother. It has been a privilege and joy having Colleen in my life. She will always live on in my memories. Love Hope Stusiak - Posted by: Hope Stusiak (Friend) on: Feb 22, 2026

  • Celeste, Ayrek, and I are profoundly saddened with the loss to your family. Having now known your family for 10 years, the loss of Colleen will be in my mind forever forward. My fondest memories were those conversations I would have with Colleen ‘over the fence’ between our two campers. Colleen was the salt and soul of the earth, always careful in anything she said as whatever she did express was extremely well thought out and so spot on. We will miss you Colleen and I will be saddened each time we are out at the campground and Bruce will pull in without you. The two of you did so many things together, had such a solid relationship that would be the envy of any couple. Why do the best people die so young? - Posted by: Alan and Celeste Schroeder (Friends at Wildwood Campground) on: Feb 22, 2026

  • Dear Bruce, Liam and Austin, I am very sorry to hear of Colleen's passing. I knew her and your family thru my sister and brother in law and I had meet her a few times on my own. She always seemed like a strong courageous person facing each challenge with grace and poise and always a smile. I pray for peace for your family knowing that she is always with each one of you as you continue through life's challenges and journeys. - Posted by: Sherry Robinson (Sister of a friend of your famil) on: Feb 21, 2026
