DORIS MORGAN

June 27, 1926 - February 11, 2026

Doris Morgan (née Paquin), peacefully, on February 11, 2026, at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, at the age of 99.

Doris was predeceased by her husband James; parents, Wilfrid and Georgina; brothers, Adélard, Paul, Félix, Marcel and Pierre; sisters-in-law Dorothy and Thérèse; and son-in-law Chris. Left to remember her are son Brian and daughter Sandra Colp; grandson James (Sarah); niece, nephews and family.

Doris was born in St. Boniface and lived there all her life, marrying Jim in 1949. She was proud of her work life as a personal secretary at James Richardson’s & Sons, and later as secretary at Glenwood School. Doris was a loving and kind parent to Brian and Sandra and was the backbone of the family. One of her favourite things was travelling to visit relatives and friends. Her faith was her mainstay, and she contributed many hours to the Holy Cross Food Bank and the Honduras Mission Circle, until she was no longer able to do so. Her last years were difficult, but she was resolute and maintained as much independence as body and mind would allow.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Nadine Fontigny, and all the Home Care workers who helped Doris remain independent in her house and at Villa Aulneau for many years, as well as the Staff on 2DE who cared for Doris with patience and kindness over the last three years. You were there when we could not be, and we are grateful for that.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street, with reception to follow.
