Elizabeth Isaak passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born on October 31, 1962, with a gentle spirit and a life that would include many physical challenges. Liz is now free from the limitations her body placed on her ability to walk, speak, and learn. We take comfort in knowing she is whole and unburdened, able to run freely in heaven without the need for a wheelchair.
Despite the obstacles she faced, Liz graduated from school, worked for several years, and learned to communicate using her computer. Her determination and quiet perseverance were an inspiration to those who knew her. Everyone who knew Liz loved her and was touched by her joyful, loving nature.
She leaves behind her devoted and loving mother and primary caregiver, Sonja Isaak; her sisters, Cindy (Yardley Ploegman) and Barb (Paul Galessiere); her niece, Aleah (Aaron Unger); her nephew, Daniel; and many supportive friends. We are especially grateful for the love and compassionate care shown by the staff at Calvary Place PCH.
Liz was predeceased by her father, Arthur Isaak, and her beloved aunt Elsie. She will be remembered for her sweet innocence, her remarkable precision in remembering significant dates, her wonderful sense of humor, and her love of all things orange and pumpkin - a fitting tribute to her October 31 birthday.

A celebration of Liz’s Life will be held at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere, at 12 noon on March 7.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Springs Church “Build the Future” new building campaign.

elizabeth is now free from all the restrictions that she had while on this earth. she is with our Lord God and Lord Jesus for all eternity in addition to all her loved ones that went before her. she was such a loving, kind individual who deserves the peace and joy she now has. sonja, you were both so blessed with having each other in your lives. you are a wonderful mother. this parting of each other is only temporary and it will seem like a blink of an eye when you are together again, never to be parted. until then keep the faith knowing she's experiencing all the wonders of heaven and there will be no more suffering or challanges for her. she's at peace now. - Posted by: joanne wiebe (friend) on: Mar 02, 2026

Dear Sonja, Cindy & Barb & family, Our sincere condolences on the passing of Liz however we rejoice that she is finally free of the limitations of her physical body & can be fully whole, body, soul & spirit, all that God created her to be! She is reunited with Art & her Aunt Elsie & others who've gone before her & we have the hope of seeing her again in heaven. I loved her laugh & she was fun to tease! To the whole family. I am so sorry to read about the loss of your beautiful & precious Elizabeth. I am so thankful & Blessed by having some great memories of Elizabeth & you all.
