After 87 years of life well lived, Nestor Slonowsky of Winnipeg, formerly of Dauphin and Garland, MB, passed away on February 1, 2026 with his loving wife and family by his side.
We’d like to thank Deer Lodge Centre’s Tower 7 team for the exceptional care and kindness Nestor received, allowing him to feel at home in his last residence.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., May 9, 2026 at Fort Garry Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1960 St. Mary’s Road.
As Dad would often tell us, “Don’t cry for me when I’m gone. Finally, my work will be done.”
