Peacefully, with her family by her side, Mary Ann Bachinski (née Benuik) passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 94. Mary was born on March 17, 1931, in Sudbury, Ontario. She married Peter Ray Bachinski on November 25, 1950, and together they built a life centred on family, their faith, and caring for others.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to nurses Tanis, Jo-Jo, Christine, Pam, Serena, Maria, Jezikah, and Clark, along with the many compassionate healthcare workers at Misericordia Place, who cared for mom as though she were their own mother.
Cremation has taken place, and a private Celebration of Life will be held by the family.

Mary was always a very special lovable person and to our family . Many many years ago my Mom and Mary were good friends. I will never forget when my Mom passed away Mary talented in many ways sent our family a poem that brought out how My Mom’s three daughters were like pearls on her necklace. I kept that precious note/poem Mary wrote about my Mom.
