It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lynne Bérard at the age of 63, at the Health Science Centre - Women’s Hospital.

She is lovingly remembered by her four brothers, Aimé (Lucille), Roger (Doris), René, Lionel, and her sister Jeanne; nieces, Anita (Duy), Jasmine and nephews, Patrick, Daniel (Jaimee) and Stéphane (Berlyn). Her great-nephews and great-nieces were an important part of her life: Mercedes (Wyatt), Jaid, Léo, Devin, Robyn, Selanne, Roxanne, Maève, Matysse, and great-grandniece Claire. She also leaves to cherish her memory her aunt and godmother Cécile Roy and numerous cousins.

Lynne was predeceased by her father Gérard (1979), her mother Lorraine (2025), and her nephew Gérard (1998).

Lynne was devoted to her family and friends, known for her warmth, generosity, and lively sense of humour. She loved bringing people together, whether through family gatherings, card games, or shared laughter.

A dedicated and exceptional teacher, Lynne cared deeply for her students and worked tirelessly to create a classroom where every child felt safe, valued, and included. She was respected by colleagues and supportive of new teachers.

She enjoyed curling, cross-country skiing, playing cards, cheering on her favourite teams, and spending time in the kitchen and garden, where she honoured family traditions and created lasting memories.

The family wishes to expresses its sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff at Victoria Hospital and HSC for their compassionate care. Special thanks to Gérald Fournier, Corey Wall and Kris Bachmeier for their excellent service.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25 at Birchwood Funeral Home in Steinbach (162 Hwy 52 W). The PowerPoint presentation will start at 12:30 p.m. and the memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. To join the family memorial service via live stream, click on the link under “Events”.
