Olga Oleski, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026 at the age of 100.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wasyl and Eudoxia; husband Fred; son Rodney; grandson Jason; brother Harry and sisters, Mary, Anne, Kay, Nettie, Effie, Lena and Jean.
Born March 29, 1925 in Melville, Saskatchewan, she later moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Fred Oleski. The family settled in Charleswood where she remained until her death. Mom attended Red River College and upon graduation, worked as an LPN at the Victoria General Hospital until her retirement.
Mom loved the outdoors. She grew all her own flowers and vegetables by seed and spent many hours tending her gardens. She loved taking walks, picking berries and spending time at the lake.
She is survived by her children, Ron (Linda), Mark (Shannon), Reg, Jane (Blair); grandchildren, David, Janine, Jeremy (Candace) and Matthew (Shelby); great-grandchildren, Braden, Emma, Eva, Haley, Liam, and Scarlett; great-great grandchild Braxton.
The family wishes to thank the staff of West Park Manor for the care and compassion they provided to mom during her stay. Cremation is to take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
