Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD VICTOR ARMSTRONG
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Victor Armstrong on March 8, 2026, after a long battle with respiratory diseases. We take great comfort that he was able to live at home with family in his final days.
Don leaves behind his wife Pat, nephews Derek (Chris), Dean and grand-nephew Brandon in Winnipeg. Nephew Richie (Bethany) and their sons from California. Nieces Sherry, Chrissie and Mandy and their families in British Columbia.
Don was predeceased by his parents Jack and Myrna and brothers Clive and Paul.
Don was born on December 6, 1935, in Winnipeg, growing up in the Sturgeon Creek area making lifelong friends playing many sports. His friendships with Cliff Locke and Stirling Sturk truly have lasted a lifetime.
After receiving his Bachelor of Education degree, he taught in River East for a few years then joined Winnipeg School Division #1 and spent approximately 42 years at the Adult Education Centre where he taught high school science and math to adults. Former students remember him fondly.
Don and Pat spent many summers travelling together to many countries and continents.
As per Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and service will not be held.
