LYNN ALLAN

September 9, 1954 - March 7, 2026

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle, cousin, friend and mentor, Peter Lynn Allan, on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents James Terence (Terry); Jamesine Maude (Jimmie) and his nephew Matthew Schofield.

Lynn was born in Winnipeg on September 9, 1954. He had a long career in the glazing industry that began in Winnipeg in the 1970s. He moved to Alberta in the late 1990s where he continued his career, meeting many great friends along the way. Lynn’s passion for the trades culminated into the establishment of his company, Alcon, in 2020, with his business partner Ehab. Lynn donated countless hours and resources to the Glass Trades Association and Glazier Apprenticeship Program at NAIT.

Outside of work, and along with his dedication to our family, Lynn had 2 passions: antiques and the lake, Ottermere. Lynn first visited the lake in the 1970’s, which started a lifelong love for this small Northwestern Ontario community. For many years his lake friends only knew him by his nickname “Peaches”.

Lynn is survived by his siblings: Ross (Adele); Chris (Rob Schofield); Rob (Penny); James; Timothy; Jennifer (Ken Kardynal); and many relatives in the US and Canada.

Lynn had a special place in his heart for his nephews and nieces: Kayson and Ayrrin; Jesse and Jayme Linn; Marie and Nicholas; Kaitlyn and Aaron and great nephew and nieces: Aubrey, Whitney and Allan.

Lynn will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by us all. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers. “The more things change the more they stay the same.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, on March 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be planned in Winnipeg at a later date.
