It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Andrew Partyka on February 6, 2026, in Montreal due to complications following surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Kevin was born April 1, 1994 and grew up in Winnipeg. He graduated from Design Drafting at Tec-Voc High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Environmental Design in 2017, and a Master of Architecture in 2019. Kevin first worked at Number TEN Architectural Group in Winnipeg and later moved to Montreal where he worked at Épigraphe . maison d’architecture.
Kevin was a wonderful, creative and talented soul who enjoyed life and cared about people. He had many hobbies, including photography, painting, reading and travelling; he was also a foodie. Kevin loved spending time at the cottage on Lake Manitoba with family and friends (his happy place).
Left to mourn are his parents, Greg and Carolin Partyka; brother Jason (Leksi); grandparents, Gerhard and Maria Quiering, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dog Diesel. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Krystyna Partyka. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends across Canada and around the world.
Thank you to the staff at Sacré-Coeur Montreal and at CHUM - Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal for their care.
Cremation has taken place, and as per Kevin’s wishes, no formal service will be held.

Kevin and I worked together as Swim Instructors with Fluid Motion, Water Safety Specialists, for many years. His humour and sense of fun were always appreciated, especially on those Saturday morning shifts. I remember him telling me about a tattoo he was thinking of getting - an anchor - for strength, solid foundation and steadfastness. We laughed because an anchor is a required piece of equipment on a boat - he would always have one! Jason, your sadness at this time is shared by so many people who know you both! - Posted by: Gail Henderson Brown (Work Mate as Swim Instructors) on: Mar 25, 2026

I was deeply shocked to read about Kevin's passing. My deepest condolences to his family. He was such a talented, humorous, caring, and driven student in my classes. When students graduate teachers often lose track of them, so I was thrilled to read that he had achieved his Masters degree in Architecture and was working as a successful architect in Montreal. We are so very sorry to hear about Kevin. Although we hadn't seen him in years, we always remember what a truly nice guy he was. He did some very artistic rock paintings for us when he was a teenager at the lake. We had those rocks for years until the paint just finally washed off, I really wish we still had those. Greg, Carolin and Jason you are in our thoughts. - Posted by: Lauren McEachern (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2026

I am incredibly sorry for your guys loss. Kevin was an amazing person! I truly called him a friend when we were in school. He helped me when I was struggling with boys or school. Adult life happened and we drifted. I always loved seeing his life in Montreal or traveling somewhere fun. ❤️❤️ - Posted by: Jessica Muller (School friend) on: Mar 21, 2026
