Passed away peacefully at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Helmut Wuerfel (predeceased in 2010). Dearest mother of Horst (Dayna) and Evelyn Horton (Ross).
Much loved Oma of Brent (Teagan), Gary, Erin (Dani), Glen (Rylee) and Aidan as well as her great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her sister Irene (Klaus Walkau). She was predeceased by her sister Olga Goetze. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Germany.
Melida was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church for many years.
She was born in Poland and resided in Winnipeg since she emigrated from Germany in 1955.
Her generous and fun-loving nature will always be remembered by her entire family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory may be made to the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut Street, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1N9.
