Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • First of all, I am very sorry for your loss. Very nice thoughts provided by Bob Maki. Through Maki, I had the pleasure of meeting Bob, and like Steve Martin says … one wild and crazy guy! I too with my wife partook in the dinner group of 8 way back when. And, it was joyous as hell from the Pinnacle in Toronto on the 54th floor, to seeing Kenny Rogers’s on a bus in Cleveland to the famous house boat rental in the Muskoka’s over the weekend. I still have in my mind the thud his cowboy boots made when he jumped on the house boat after a night of drinking, 6 of us already in bed and him being the last to leave the bar. Haven’t seen him in some time as life gets in the way. RIP buddy!!! - Posted by: Bill Ceroni (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2026

  • I first met Bob in September of 1966, good heavens that is near 60 years ago. We attended Lake Superior College together, Bob for 2 years (major...enjoying youth and life's offerings), me 4 years accounting. I got to know Bill, Unc & Aunt Helen in those years. All salt of the earth. Bob gave me lodging in Burlington while I was in search of my first corporate job after graduation. He introduced me to his Burlington friends and I became a member of the May 24th fishing group. He was a groomsman at our wedding. We were members of a Dinner Group that dined at the TD 54th floor, when it was the pinnacle of Toronto. Bob took me and my two young sons fishing in Nipigon and he moved to Winnipeg and we stayed in Oakville. Contact became more sporadic, but we did butt heads in the Soo from time to tme. Lunch at Joel's with Bill and Lenny and then cold Canadians on Lenny's dock on the St, Mary's River. I am missing him more than I would ever admit to him. A little secret....a Canadian may make him smile but, a shot of Yellow Chartreuse would make him 😁 Brenda and I will raise a glass to Mr. BIGGS - Posted by: Bob Maki (My Great Friend) on: Mar 22, 2026
