Jackie, my heart is broken for you, your family and for myself. Nelson and so many of us from Northern Affairs have had such wonderful times travelling into the north meeting amazing people, many years of laughter, great memories (not to mention the snacks) from God Lake Narrows, Oxford House, Cross Lake, Winnipeg, Toronto, Belleville, Jamacia and back to Winnipeg. Who will I make snacks for now? I will miss Nelson's laughter and good hearted ribbing. What fun we have all had together 🥰. Take heart because our memories of Nelson will endure. God Bless! Love, M. "Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. - Posted by: Mourasia (Dearest friend) on: Apr 17, 2026

My sincere sympathy to Jacquie and to the children. While we had lost touch in recent years due to distance and other commitments, as children we used to visit and play. Mary (Nelson's mother) was the close sister of my father Peter Onysko, and several times our families met in St. Vital or in Riverton, where my parents were teachers. I always enjoyed my cousins Dennis and Nelson. - Posted by: Nadia (cousin) on: Apr 16, 2026

Mr Gushuliak was my grade 7 teacher. I have memories of his friendly smile, chuckle and interesting projects. He was well liked and at Christmas, I, like many of my classmates, made a special point of getting him a gift. My condolences. - Posted by: Mary Eberling-Penner (Former student) on: Apr 11, 2026
