Michael Harry Evans passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 94 years.
Mike was educated as a civil engineer, and ended his career as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. He had the philosophy that change was exciting, to be met head on. For example, only one week after marrying Jean in England, he emigrated to Montreal, found an engineer position in one day, and sent for Jean as soon as he had enough money. Mike was an avid golfer, loved dogs, and enjoyed spending time in Mexico, Florida, and England with Jean, as they both loved to travel.
He will be remembered and sadly missed by his children, Michael David (Kathy) Evans of Winnipeg, MB, and Lisa Anne (Paul) Plocktis of West Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Michael, Cameron, Mark, Laura, Christopher, Lindy, and Scott; and great-grandchildren, Bowen, Georgia, Blair, Lucy, Callie, Camryn, and Piper. He was sadly predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Jean Watson Evans.

Mike was a partner at Clarkson Gordon when I joined the firm in 1985. Although he led our insolvency group which I was not part of - I did have the pleasure to work and socialize with him throughout our tenure prior to his retirement.
