It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alice on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, aged 87 at Park Manor Care Home.
Alice leaves behind her children, Kim (Brad) Zelych, Kristine (Ernesto) Hernandez Bolivar and Sherri Gluch and five grandchildren, Jordan, Nadia, Alycia (Isaiah), Stanislav and Melanie.
Alice was predeceased by her husband Joseph of 58 years, parents, Pat (Harold) and Ethel Erb, brothers, Glen and Floyd.
Alice was born on November 24, 1938 in Winnipeg and raised on the family farm in Oak Bluff, MB. Alice met Joe at her first job at Manitoba Power Company (now Manitoba Hydro) and they were soon married. When they started a family she took on the role of homemaker and excelled at it. She enjoyed preparing healthy meals, sewing, knitting, reading and volunteering. In 1990 when Joe retired, she would say she also retired and they spent 28 years as snowbirds in Tucson, AZ. In her retirement years she spent hours walking and hanging out at McDonald's and Tim's having coffee with friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Alice has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. A special thanks to the staff of Park Manor Care Home. Tillwell Aquamation and Funeral Service (204) 885-0409.
