KAREN LOUISE JENNER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Louise Jenner on April 14, 2026 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 73.

Karen was the only child born to Harvey and Gladys Granger in 1952 in Virden, Manitoba. As her mother passed away when Karen was very young, she grew up sharing her time living with her dad in Broomhill and with her grandmother in Brandon. She also spent summers with her many cousins on the farm south of Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

After she graduated high school in Brandon, she worked various jobs such as a telephone operator, mortgage loan officer, and legal secretary.

Karen met her husband Ken in Brandon and they married in December 1973. Moving to Ken’s family farm south of Minnedosa, she found employment as a legal secretary in Minnedosa. In 1979, they started their family with the birth of their daughter, Robyn, followed by their son, Justin, a year later.

After her children were born, she focused on raising her family and the family farm. She managed the farming records and balanced the budget. In addition, Karen drove the grain truck during harvest, drove to town for repairs, ran meals to the field and did whatever was needed. As the kids grew, Karen was heavily involved in volunteering for their activities including coaching baseball and becoming a brownie and girl guide leader. Many memories were made with family while camping in the summer, attending Justin’s hockey games, and attending family reunions in Saskatchewan.

Karen was an active gardener and reader and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She loved her couples’ trips to Mexico, camping in the summer with friends, attending Rockin’ the Fields and Fun Fest in Minnedosa, and shopping trips to Minot with the girls. She also spent lots of time and cherished her grand children with trips to BC to visit Nolan and playing tractors with Tyler and Connor.

Karen was known for her strength and sense of humour. She dedicated her life to her family and friends and will be remembered for the joy she brought to everyone.

Karen will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her husband of 52 years, Ken, her daughter Robyn (Jeff) Koffman, son Justin (Deanna) Jenner and three grandchildren, Nolan Koffman, Tyler Jenner, and Connor Jenner.

If so desired, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to CancerCare Manitoba.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for July 24, 2026 in Minnedosa, Manitoba.
