It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Ruth MacIsaac. Her life was defined by courage, resilience, faith, creativity, and a deep love for family and friends. Mom passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Colleen Dalton (Ken), Micheal MacIsaac (Roberta), Rhonda Tough (Ron); grandchildren: Erin Couvier (Jason), Kendra Dalton (Chris), Lisa MacIsaac (Claude), Kevin MacIsaac (Rachel), Matthew MacIsaac, Andrew MacIsaac (Athena), Ashley Lachance (Christian), Dylan Watts (Haley), Nicholas Watts (Chloe), Kaitlyn Tough (Tom), Riley Tough (Hailey); along with many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her sons Greg MacIsaac, Jackie MacIsaac, and Baby Kevin MacIsaac.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Jocelyn Danais-Brown for her dedication and compassion over the years. Her willingness to stand up against ageism allowed Mom to be heard, respected and treated with dignity while being cared for in the medical system. Thank you also to Dr. Loewen for providing the care in making Mom more comfortable these past years. Thank you to Claudette and all the staff that cared for Mom while she resided at Riverpark Gardens Personal Care Home. Our family will be forever grateful for the exceptional commitment and compassion you have all made to care for our Mom, especially during the end of her life care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 11, 2026, 2:00-4:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
