Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) DONNELLY
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Dad at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dad was predeceased by our Mom, Maureen, in 2015 and by his parents, Hugh and Elizabeth Donnelly. He is survived by his children Lori and Craig (Tannis), granddaughters Hannah, Sarah and Erin, his brother Jim (Pauline), niece and nephew Andrea and Blair and many cousins in Scotland.
Born on an army base in Dumfries, Scotland during the Second World War, Dad emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba with his parents and brother on November 28, 1951. He later moved to the White Rock area of British Columbia in 1994.
Dad spent his entire career in the computer industry, starting with writing code with Air Canada, moving on to sales with various companies and regional management and ending his career as a software consultant. In retirement, Dad was the President of the Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club, a volunteer position that he took great pride in and in which he devoted many hours of his time.
In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has quietly taken place. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.

I had the privilege of working with Bob in the same shared office space (Royal Trust Building) in Winnipeg in the 90’s. Bob would always bring donuts into the office upon his return from many business trips. Notwithstanding the fact that I teased him about the way he (with his Scottish accent) pronounced the word food (fuud), he always made sure my donut (and only mine) had sprinkles on it. Remembering him and extending my sincere condolences to all Bob’s family. - Posted by: Dale Kilfoyle (Ms) (Friend) on: Apr 25, 2026

A caring grandfather, a loyal neighbor and friend and the epitome of what a great father truly is. Bob was the family archivist. He could rattle off the lineage of all his relatives without a second thought and strived to keep up to date with family near and far. Bob was a skilled gardener and that was apparent every season as there was always something bright and beautiful blooming in his stunning yard. Bob became like a second father to me. Always supportive and excited about any endeavours I found myself in. He always checked in with Craig to make sure I got to my next destination. Knowing someone was looking out for me that way meant the world to me. I will think of him every time my plane safely lands. Thank you Bob for the memories, the kindness and the love . You are already greatly missed. - Posted by: Tannis (Family friend) on: Apr 25, 2026

It is with great sadness upon hearing of Bobs passing. Our forever memory of Bob shall be of Bob making it to our 60ieth Anniversary in Selkirk Manitoba on Oct11, 2025 even though travelling must have been difficult for him. That memory will be everlasting for Richard and myself. Rest in peace dear friend. Jo-Anne and Richard Kresky - Posted by: Jo-Anne and Richard Kresky (Friends) on: Apr 25, 2026
