My Condolences to Dan and Dean, Dawn, I went to high school at Nelson McIntyre with Dan. We were also in Graphic Arts class together. Dan I had the pleasure of meeting both your parents. Especially when we hung out together playing video games and drinking beer with your Dad. He was not only a great husband, father and grandfather, but a true friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Dean,Dawn and your families. Paul we will not forget you, but we will meet again when the time comes. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Leo Carriere (High school friend) on: May 03, 2026

My sister & our families send our deepest condolences to the DeCraene family. Paul & Pat were such a big part of our family's lives for so many years & I’ll always think of Paul as one of Dad’s best friends. Those two spent decades working side-by-side for the City & just as many years helping shape our Norwood community from hanging at the community centre working the ball diamonds to renovating our church & constructing the addition on my childhood home. Paul was always building something, fixing something, or planning the next thing with Dad before the last one was even done. Some of my fondest memories are of our families on Birchdale and Claremont at the kitchen table, listening to their banter together. I was also lucky enough to work with Paul & Dad & will never forget those Friday lunches at Sal’s with Dad stealing Paul’s fries while Paul pretended he didn’t notice. He was a lifelong friend to Dad & I like to think the two of them are together bantering & reminiscing the good times. - Posted by: Angela Lysak-Savage (Family Friend) on: May 02, 2026
