JEAN MCGEE

Jean McGee passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in Warkworth Ontario on April 21, 2026. Jean will be missed by her loving husband Bill Seguire and family.

She was predeceased by her husband Ron McGee, late of Stonewall.

Loving mother of Randy (Cindy), Rick (Lori), Rod (the late April), Janna, Ryan (Erin) and Rob (Julie). Grandmother to Cary (Colleen), Cord (Emma), Alison (AJ), Brian (Erika), Cody (Colter), the late Francine, Zach, Zeke, Silas, Teaghan (Chris), Shealon, Grady (Megan), Dane, Olivia and Leah and 14 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Jean is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mary (nee Lamb) Devitt, of Bobcaygeon Ontario, her brothers, Ken (the late Shirley) and John (surviving wife Carol). Dear sister to Marion Amy (late husband Paul), and Juanita Day (late husband Harold).

Jean was in her 94th year. She grew up in Bobcaygeon, Ontario. She married Ron McGee in 1954 and they moved their family to Manitoba in the early 60s to begin the McGee bridge building company. Both are well remembered in Winnipeg where they raised their six children, and especially in Stonewall, where they settled before Ron's death in 2002. Jean was a big part of the Stonewall community, involved with Home Care and many seniors activities. After Ron's passing, she moved back to Ontario, and remarried in 2011, but returned often to visit family and friends and enjoy Stonewall Quarry Days.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I was sorry to hear of Jean's passing. She was a great friend of my mom's for many years. Having spent a lot of time at her and Ron's place in Stonewall, either hanging by the pool or helping with one of their huge garage sales, Jean was always welcoming to those around her. Jean and my mom Pat had a close friendship over the years, and my mom spoke of her all the time after Jean moved from Stonewall, but took every opportunity to reconnect whenever Jean was back in Manitoba. Condolences to all of Jean's family, she will be missed. - Posted by: Donna Klassen (Friend) on: May 02, 2026
