Johannes Kessling passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
John (Hans) is lovingly remembered by his wife Hildegard of 60 years, his daughter Christin (Joe), his son Jens (Kristin), and his daughter Tanya (Jason). Opa will be missed by his grandchildren, Markus (Maddi), Malora (Erik), Cairo, Rio and Tasman; and his great-grandchildren Elly and Kane.
John’s life was one of kindness, generosity, and connection. He touched countless lives with his warm spirit and open heart. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the many traditions he helped create, and the many people who were fortunate to know him. Donations can be made to Park Manor Care in honour of the great care they provided.
The service will be held on May 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg.
