Peacefully, on March 13, 2026 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Leonard Semeniuk, aged 80 years, of Anola, Manitoba, passed away.
He is survived by his mother Frances; brother Doug; sister Donna (Bill) and Debbie (Sam); nephews, Trevor, Dale (Lacie) and Jonathan; nieces, Shaney and Holly; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and long time friends, Doug, Kathy and their family.
He was predeceased by his father Edward and brother Terry.
Leonard was born on November 7, 1945 in Selkirk, Manitoba, graduating from River East Collegiate in Winnipeg. He then went on to obtain a degree at Musker Engineering Institute where he obtained a degree in Specialized Engine and Auto Electric Systems always taking additional courses to enhance his skills. After graduation he started his entrepreneurial endeavors. With his hard work ethic and dedication, he diversified in several areas of construction with LSL Contracting Materials and distributors. Retirement was never on his mind, always working on another project.
He thoroughly enjoyed spending time at his villa in Cancun, Mexico, welcoming family and friends, making sure everyone had a great time.
Leonard will be sadly missed by family and friends, especially at annual gatherings and get togethers.
A celebration of Leonard’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba.
