After a courageous battle with cancer, Helen peacefully fell asleep in the Lord's arms on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Riverview Health Centre surrounded by the love of her family.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe Avenue at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre.

My condolences to Helen's family. Years ago, my mother worked at Cox's bakery with Helen and Ernie across the isle at the lunch bar. They called her "Lucky Lenore'. My mom enjoyed her relationship with them and I enjoyed the cheeseburgers. :) Years later, I bumped into them at Springfield Heights Elementary school when they were watching a performance by their grandchildren and our kids were there as well. Helen was such a dear friend for the past 20 years. Her husband was a dear friend to my husband David, They were such a great couple. I will miss Helen every day if I couldn’t get to see her I would talk to her on the phone. She was a sweetheart and I will really miss her and our friendship.
