JEFFREY MARK GREENAWAY

March 8, 1963 - April 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Mark Greenaway, on April 22, 2026, at Riverview Health Centre.

Jeff is survived by his partner, Michael (Mick) Morgan; siblings Glen and Richard Greenaway (Sherrill); niece Echo Asher (Brian); and nephews Robert (Yania) and Ryan (Mandy). He was a proud Nana to Oliver and Lucy Asher and will be deeply missed by his great-niece and nephews Jayda, Fisher, and Ben, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Jeffrey’s spirit was truly unique - bright, kind, and unforgettable to all who knew him. He brought beauty, warmth, and generosity into the world, and he will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Rae & Jerry’s on May 24, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to stop by at any time and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Rainbow Resource Centre.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Jeff. Saddened that he could no longer ply his craft, but I knew he was ill and totally understood. He worked his art on my hair for over 40 years, starting at Split Ends in Transcona. He was not only my hairdresser, but a true friend and confidant. I always looked forward to our visits and listeningcto your advice.I will forever miss you, my sweet, loving friend. Live it up with your parents, especially your loving Mom (your very best friend), and your sweetie, Tom. Heartfelt sympathies to all your family, especially Mick and little Buddy. Rest in peace. Colleen. ❤️🧡💛💚💙 - Posted by: Colleen Henzel (I was a client) on: May 23, 2026

  • Jeffrey was a wonderful friend to both of us for decades and our longtime hairstylist. He was incredibly talented and a deeply caring individual. We always looked forward to our visits, which were filled with laughter and hugs. Relationships meant so much to Jeff, which made the loss of his mother, Tom, his friends and neighbors especially difficult for him. We would also like to thank Edward for allowing Jeff to fully express himself in your shop over the decades, and for welcoming Tom to accompany him to work on some days. Jeff’s energy, boisterous laugh and honest opinions will be deeply missed. Some say everyone has a twin in this world - but Jeff did not. He was truly his own person, completely himself and unapologetic about it. We are proud to have called him our friend, and we can only imagine the “crazy stuff” he is getting up to in his next adventure of life. We miss you greatly already. • My sincere apologies to Jeffrey’s family with their loss . Over many years of my coming and going to Edward Carrieres beauty salon I always stopped to say hello and catch up with him. He was a great guy and excellent hairdresser. At one time he was a client who had purchased a lovely bungalow in the Wolseley neighborhood. He will be missed. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Ruth Carol Feldman (Client) on: May 09, 2026

  • My deepest condolences to Mick and the whole family. It is heartbreaking to hear of Jeff's passing. He was always so very kind, caring, and generous. I was a client of Jeff's for nearly 30 years and will always be grateful for the beautiful haircuts he gave me, and later on for the visits he would make to cut my Mom's hair. I will so miss our conversations, his amazing laughter, hugs, and gentle spirit. Rest well, Jeff. - Posted by: Sherrie Novak (Former client) on: May 09, 2026

  • Remembering great times hanging out at Brereton Lake or getting updates on extended family while receiving the best haircuts (well, not so much the first one…both of us would laugh about that for years afterward). Missing his laugh. Wishing I could hear him tell people I was getting a child’s haircut because I was still childish, even when I was 50. Sending love to all my cousins and their families and Jeffrey’s partner and friends in this time of loss. ~ Barb Altomare - Posted by: Barb Altomare (Cousin) on: May 09, 2026
