Marcel Courcelles, of Ste. Agathe, Manitoba, passed away surrounded by family at the age of 93 years, at St-Pierre Hospital on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
He is survived by four brothers, Lionel, Lucien, Rene, Michel; and three sisters, Emilienne (Leonard Robidoux), Carmelle (Germain Desrosiers) and Fernande (Aurele Pelletier).
He will also be remembered by his many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his father Raphael, his mother Jeanne (St-Onge), one sister Annette, two brothers, Gerard and Jean-Paul (Patricia Brenton).
Marcel never married. He was a farmer until retirement. Marcel loved hunting with a passion. He enjoyed helping to make maple syrup in the spring.
He was a devout Catholic, attending mass every Sunday until his health deteriorated. You could always count on him when help was needed. He loved teasing his younger brothers.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held at Paroisse Sainte-Agathe on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with ash interment to follow in the local cemetery.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
