Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER (GRANDDAD) STOROZUK
It is with great sadness that Walter’s long, beautiful journey has come to a gentle end. On May 7 at the age of 85 he peacefully passed away in his sleep.
Family was the heart of Walter's life, and he always lived for them. Born on October 10, 1940, he grew up in the Piney/Menisino area and later moved to Winnipeg. He met the love of his life Cecilia working at the Brooke Bond Spice Factory. They were married in 1961, and together they raised their daughters Lorrie and Jodi. He was very happy to welcome son-in-law Erick into their family. Walter cherished and loved to talk about his very loved granddaughters Hailey and Amber. He is pre-deceased by Peter and Nellie Storozuk.
Words cannot express how family, friends and coworkers will miss him.
Starting back in 1959, Walter dedicated 67 years of his life to his Princess Auto family, loving every moment of his work. He loved providing "Royal Service" to all customers and connecting with team members. Even though Walter was considered to be “retired”, he never quit working for Princess Auto. He enjoyed dropping in and still helping customers.
Walter will always be remembered for bringing laughter to those around him with his witty sense of humour and playful nature. With his loving heart and compassionate soul, he seemed to be friends with the whole world and was recognized no matter where he went. He was known by everyone for his great kindness and willingness to sacrifice anything to help others.
Dad/Granddad will always hold a very special place in our hearts, will never be forgotten, and will be loved forever and always.
As per Walter’s wishes, no service will be held. The family invites friends to honour Walter in their own way, keeping memories and stories alive and close to their hearts.
At this time, the family requests that although offerings are gratefully appreciated and accepted, you instead consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Walter's name.
We will love you always BUT remember to always protect your desserts because if “I’m done, you’re done” and your plate will be taken from your hands, even unfinished.
With deepest love: Granny (Cecil), Cookie, Googie, Buddy, String Bean, and Little Mouse.
